HP LASERJET 4350 ERROR 13.2 JAM IN TRAY 2
Q: I'm getting a 13.20 JAM IN TRAY 2 error message in my hp laser 4350 before I print. When I turn the printer on it goes through its motions and then just displays the 13.20.00 error on the display. Some of the actions I have taken have been the replacement of the paper tray 2 and the 4350 fuser assembly. It appeared that those printer parts were damaged by the removal of the paper jam. Upon visual inspection the printer seems free of any stuck paper as well as all of the paper sensor flags are functioning as they should be. I have heard that a DC controller can cause a 13.20.00 paper jam in the hp laser 4350 printer. Is that something that I should replace?
A: 13.20.00 paper jams in a hp laser 4350 printer is most likely going to be a stuck sensor issue. It is possible that a faulty dc controller is contributing to the 13.20 paper jam, though very unlikely. I would confirm that you have checked all of the paper sensors, focusing on the 2 less obvious ones; registration and media feed guide. I would bet that either those were over looked, and or the action on them isn’t exactly how it should be. Re-check those and I bet you will rid your hp laserjet 4350 printer 13.20 paper jam.
HP LASERJET 4350 MULTIPLE PAGE JAM
Q: My Hp laserjet 4350 pulls multiple pages and then paper jams. It only seems to happen from tray 1. When I print from tray two it does not pull multiple pages. If I put a stack of 10 pages it will pull all of them in and then jam as the paper makes it halfway in. I then have to open the toner cartridge access lid and then pull the toner out and then remove the paper. I am using the same type of paper I have always used and it never used to do this in the past. I went as far as to make sure that the pieces of paper are not stuck together before I put them in the printer. Any suggestions how I can fix my hp laserjet 4350 paper jam?
A: My first suggestions in regards to hp laserjet 4350 pulling multiple pages and then paper jamming is always to make sure the forms or media that you are using is not stuck together. I have seen pre-printed media have this problem. Since though we have moved passed that I would recommend replacing the tray 1 feed kit, which includes the pickup roller and separation pad, to resolve the multiple page jam. The hp laser 4350 pickup roller works in conjunction with the separation pad to separate the individual page from the rest of the stack. With use these parts wear and can fail to work properly and in turn the user can experience their hp laser 4350 pulling multiple pages and then jamming.
HP LASERJET 4350 DTN PRINTER KEEPS JAMMING
Q: My HP Laserjet 4350 keeps paper jamming. I have recently replaced the toner cartridge as well as the pickup and separation rollers, but still every 2nd sheet will cause my hp 4350 to paper jam. I have read that you need to test it from all available trays to isolate whether the problem is relative to one tray or if it is a part they all share in common. After having followed that suggestion we witnessed it paper jamming from all paper trays. Is there a part all trays have in common that could be causing my hp laser 4350 paper jam problems?
A: The first step when troubleshooting an hp laser 4350 paper jam is to try to isolate it to a particular paper tray. If your laserjet 4350 is jamming from both trays then you are correct in assuming that the part causing the paper jam is common to both paper trays. Pay attention to where the paper is getting jammed. If it is getting jammed at the fuser Check both the fuser assembly and swing plate assembly gears to make sure they are properly engaging. If either the 4350 fuser assembly gears or the hp laser 4350 swing plate gears are not connected you will experience paper jams.
HP LASER JET 4350N PRINTER SAYS PAPER BUT CAN'T FIND PAPER
Q: I have an hp laser 4350 13.05 phantom jam no paper found in my printer when printing envelopes from the multi purpose tray 1. We have been using these envelopes for years and never had an issue, but recently my hp 4350 started throwing an error 13.05 paper jam without having any paper stuck. There have been a couple of instances where the envelopes will stop just before the fuser and it will show an error 13.21, but for the most part it is just the 13.05.00 and no paper to be found.
A: Paper jam errors like 13.05.00 or 13.20.00 or even 13.21.00 can be very ambiguous and typically point to the same thing if they are happening in succession like yours. First thing I would ask is does the media that you are using fall into HP specs for the hp laser 4350 printer. If it the media that you are using does not fall into spec then it is possible that the 4350’s performance will be inconsistent. If the media does fall into spec then I would recommend replacing the tray 1 pickup roller and separation pad.
HP LASERJET 4350 13.05 PHANTOM JAM NO PAPER FOUND
Q: We have an hp laser 4350 printer smudging the print. We have had this laser printer for roughly 2 years and it has always been a solid trustworthy printer. I have read that laser 4350 preventative maintenance kits should be used every 200,000 pages to keep the print quality and printing process as a whole on the up and up. I’m not sure how to check how many pages have been printed, and is a preventative maintenance kit something that could fix my hp laserjet 4350 smudging problem?
A: The HP laserjet 4350 printer smudging print is a common image defect that happens with these machines. The amount of time between services is not as important as the amount of printing that has been done. You are correct that the laserjet 4350 printers are rated for a replacement maintenance kit every 200,000 pages. To check you page count you need to print a configuration page. If it falls within the 150,000 to 200,000 page count range then it is definitely ready for a kit. Try doing a halfway test to isolate between the fuser assembly and the toner cartridge, and then act accordingly.
HP LASERJET 4350 CRUNCHED PAPER JAM
Q: I have an HP laserjet 4350 that crunches and crumples the paper then the printer says paper jam. When I open the toner access lid that reveals the toner cartridge I pull out the toner and find the paper folded up kind of like an accordion. The paper is fanned and crumpled up behind the fuser. When I pull out the paper the toner is not stuck to the page and smears right off. Before the printer started to paper jam and fold up it was making a loud noise. It sounded like the gears weren’t turning properly.
A: Well to start whenever hp laser 4350 printers have paper jams in a way that the paper is crunched, crumpled, wrinkled, folded, accordion, it will mean that something is impeding the advancement of the media along the paper path. The fact that the printer was making a loud grinding noise is a very important clue. Typically with the hp laser 4350 printers you will find that the swing plate assemblies, those gear assemblies that engage and drive the fusers, will wear out and cause grinding noises as well as paper jams. I would be willing to bet that either the gears on the swing plate assembly and or fuser assembly have worn out or are broken. Remove the fuser assembly and inspect the main drive gear. The removal of the fuser also gives way to the swing plate gears. A visual inspection of those gears will also be adequate to determine its condition. A recommended fuser replacement as well as swing plate assembly will no doubt fix your problem.
HP LASERJET 4350 PULLS STACK OF PAPER AND JAMS
Q: : I have an hp laser 4350 printer that when printing from the tray 1 will grab and pull the entire stack of sheets in and then get a paper jam. Because it is grabbing such a large stack of paper it will usually get stuck halfway in. When I print paper from the cassette tray 2 it will print just fine.
A: This is a common error not only with the 4350 printers but all that have manual feed or multi purpose trays. The tray 1 has a pickup roller and separation pad in the tray 1 assembly that when worn out will fail to properly separate individual pages from the stack. When this happens the printers the entire stack of paper will get pulled in and typically result in the type of paper jam you are describing. Simply replacing the tray 1 paper feed assembly will solve this problem
