| HP Laser 4350 MAKING HORIZONTAL LINES |
Q:I have an hp laserjet 4350 printer making horizontal lines and a grinding noise when it prints. The horizontal lines are repetitive and extend the width of the page. Though they reappear on each page they do so in a different place. I have replaced the toner cartridge but my HP laser 4350 keeps making horizontal lines. I wonder if the grinding noise has anything to do with the lines on the page. Please advise.
A: In the case of HP laser printers printing horizontal lines and specifically in the case of the hp Laser 4350 printing horizontal lines I always point my finger to the toner cartridge. Faulty hp laserjet 4350 fuser assemblies will typically make vertical lines while faulty toners are usually suspect with horizontal lines. Are the toner cartridges being used OEM or Refurbished. I would be willing to bet they are refurbished toners. Regardless it is not common to see a batch of toners OEM or Refurbished share similar defects. Try a halfway test and that will isolate whether the horizontal lines are being caused by the toner or the fuser. Once you are able to isolate between the two replace the necessary one and your HP laser 4350 horizontal line problem will be resolved. |
| .HP LASERJET 4350 TONER SMEAR |
Q: I have an hp laserjet 4350 toner smear on every page that I print out. At first it seemed like it would only happen after the printer would come out of its power save mode. The first couple pages that would print out would be flaking and smearing toner on the page. After it started to warm up the hp laser 4350 would stop smearing the toner and print fine. I recently installed the hp laser 4350 maintenance kit which includes the fuser assembly, and replaced the toner cartridge twice. Even after doing the my hp laser 4350 is still smearing the toner. Does anyone have any suggestions
A: Image issues like this especially with HP laserjet 4350 printers are almost always going to be narrowed down to a fuser or a toner cartridge. As I ask in all situations like this, are the toner cartridges OEM or Refurbished. Not all Refurbished toner cartridges are bad, but then again there are many that are. I am always suspect of those basement priced toners. There are also many times you can have a defective 4350 fuser assembly. In the case of your HP laserjet 4350 smearing toner on the page I would certainly think that it still is going to be the fuser or the toner. Just perform a halfway test to isolate between the fuser and toner. That will surely reveal what is causing hour hp laser 4350 to smear toner. |
| HP LASERJET 4350 GHOST PRINTING (REPETITIVE PRINT) |
Q: I have an hp laser 4350 ghost printing on the page. It started out as a relatively intermittent problem, but as time went on the repetitive print seemed to become more prominent and it was appearing with more frequency. I tried a halfway test and the print seemed fine when it stopped at the toner cartridge. I also have tried replacing the fuser, but my hp laserjet 4350 is still ghost printing. Any suggestions?
A: If you are printing on heavier media and your hp laser 4350 is ghosting I would recommend making sure the settings in the computer are set in a way that correlates with the media. If the hp laser 4350 fuser assembly does not get hot enough it will not properly bond the toner to the paper and will result in a ghost print, repetitive print, defect that you are experiencing. If the media that you are using is typical print plain paper I would recommend replacing the fuser. You don’t necessarily have to use an HP OEM fuser, but as with anything else there are varying degrees of aftermarket quality. Just to be sure I would use an OEM HP laser 4350 fuser assembly. If that works I would in the mean time research quality aftermarket fusers to save money; They are out there. Replacing the fuser should cure your hp laser 4350 ghost printing problem. |
| HP LASER JET 4350 DIRTY PRINT |
Q: My hp laserjet 4350 is printing dirty. It looks like the whole page was rubbed in the dirt after I print. I even tried printing a blank page and it is still dirty. I am not using HP OEM toners. Could a toner cartridge cause my hp laser 4350 to print dirty pages even if I print out a test blank page
A: Yes absolutely. I have seen many hp laser 4350 print dirty pages because of a faulty toner cartridge. Try replacing your toner cartridge and that should surely stop your hp laserjet 4350 from printing dirty copies. |
| HP LASERJET 4350 SMUDGING THE PRINT |
Q: We have an hp laser 4350 printer smudging the print. We have had this laser printer for roughly 2 years and it has always been a solid trustworthy printer. I have read that laser 4350 preventative maintenance kits should be used every 200,000 pages to keep the print quality and printing process as a whole on the up and up. I’m not sure how to check how many pages have been printed, and is a preventative maintenance kit something that could fix my hp laserjet 4350 smudging problem?
A: The HP laserjet 4350 printer smudging print is a common image defect that happens with these machines. The amount of time between services is not as important as the amount of printing that has been done. You
Frequently Asked Questions
are correct that the laserjet 4350 printers are rated for a replacement maintenance kit every 200,000 pages. To check you page count you need to print a configuration page. If it falls within the 150,000 to 200,000 page count range then it is definitely ready for a kit. Try doing a halfway test to isolate between the fuser assembly and the toner cartridge, and then act accordingly. |
| LASERJET 4350 PRINTING VERTICAL WHITE LINE |
Q: I have an hp 4350 that is making a vertical white line down the page. It seems as though the print fades out to white in the center of the page. I have tried using a couple of toners and changed the fuser but my hp laser 4350 still makes vertical white lines down the page. Any suggestions
A: Off the bat I would typically say this sounds like your hp laserjet 4350 has a bad toner cartridge in it. Seeing, though, that 2 toners were doing the same thing, I think we can rule that out as being the vertical line culprit. I would start to gravitate towards either a dirty scanner or possible a transfer roller that is failing to lay a uniform charge to the page. In this case it is much easier to replace a transfer roller than it is to start messing with the scanner. Start there and if that doesn’t work I would explore the scanner. One of those should fix your 4350 vertical white line problem. |
