HP LASER 4300 13.01 PAPER JAM
Q: I have an hp laserjet 4300 13.01 displayed on my printers control panel. I have tried what the display panel suggests which is open and close the top cover or check to remove paper from the tray 2. I opened the tray 2 and there was no paper to be found. Once I opened and closed the top cover the printer rebooted and seemed to try to reprint only to show that there was another 13.01 paper jam on the display panel. Repeating the above process seemed to get the machine to reset over and over again, though it was always the same ending result
A: As can be somewhat common with hp laser 4300 13.01 paper jams it seems that the paper is not being pulled from the tray 2 cassette. Paper that is not being advanced from the paper tray can be a result of a multitude of problems. I would start by trying to isolate the problem. This can be done easily if you place a piece of paper in the multi-purpose tray and print a test page. If it prints fine you know that there is an issue that is isolated to the tray 2. If that works try replacing the tray 2 jam kit, if not then the laser 4300 paper tray would be suspect.
HP LASERJET 4300 13.20 PAPER JAM
Q: Our HP laserjet 4300 13.20 paper jam problem has still not resolved itself after numerous attempts to repair. We have checked the printer for paper and cannot find any and have even gone as far as trying to reset the printer. One thing that I noticed is that when we try to reboot the printer it doesn’t turn over like we are accustomed to seeing. Has anyone seen this happen before?
A: 13.20 paper jam with hp 4300 printers by the book means that there is something impeding one of the sensors. In this case it would be suffice to assume that the “something” is a piece of paper, though it is not always the case. It is a very distinct possibility that the sensors are stuck and falsely throwing this message. Go through the machine and check all the sensors, those being the fuser sensor the registration sensor and the paper feed guide sensor. A thorough inspection of those points will certainly give rise to what is causing you hp laser 4300 13.20 paper jam.
HP LASER 4300 PAPER JAM CANT FIND PAPER
Q: We have an hp laser 4300 that is getting a paper jam, but we cant find the paper. The printer goes through its normal motions upon start up and seems like it is going to print fine, but then just makes a clicking noise and registers a paper jam. When we go to look for the stuck paper we cant find it anywhere. It is almost like it gets stuck in the paper tray. We have had the printer for several years and have not had any service done on it. Are there regular preventative maintenance kits that need to be installed with these printers.
A: The first thing that you want to take notice of when you are troubleshooting your hp laser 4300 paper jam without any paper found is does it happen from all of the paper trays. Start with the tray 1 multi purpose tray and observe whether or not it jams from there. If it does not jam in tray 1 then the paper jam is being caused by something that is unique to the 2nd tray. Assuming that the paper is not being advanced from the tray 2 cassette start by checking the adjustments on the tray to make sure they are set to the intended paper size. If they are check the separation and pickup rollers and replace if they are void of tread. Hp laser 4300 rollers that are worn will fail to grab the paper which will result in a paper jam without any paper found or ghost jam.
HP LASERJET 4300 CRUNCHED AND CRUMPLED PAPER JAM
Q: I have an hp 4300 that gets a paper jam with the paper getting crunched and crumpled as it goes through the printer. Sometimes the paper will make it out of the printer, but it will usually just get stuck when it exits the the printer right after the fuser assembly. The machine seems to be making a noise when it turns over like crunching plastic of sorts. I have also noticed that the printer is also ejecting some sort of metal material.
A: I would assume that when a 4300 is crunching and crumpling the paper that the problem is associated with a faulty 4300 fuser assembly.
HP LASERJET 4300 MAKES GRINDING NOISE PAPER JAM
Q: Our HP laserjet 4300 makes a grinding noise and then paper jams every time that we are trying to print. I have had this printer for almost 4 years and have never had a problem. The grinding noise seems to be coming from the back of the printer where I think what is called the fuser assembly is housed. I have heard that some of the hp laserjet 4300 4250 and 4350 series printers have some issues with grinding noise, but wasn’t sure if those noises were directly related to the printers paper jamming as well.
A: You are correct in that hp laserjet 4300 4250 and 4350 printers have a known and somewhat acknowledged grinding noise issue. This is typically related to the fuser assembly and swing plate not properly engaging with each other. When this happens the you will get a hp laserjet making a terrible grinding noise. If this is neglected long enough the gears will wear down to the point they will fail to engage each other at all and the result will be a paper jam. I recommend replacing the fuser assembly and the swing plate assembly. That should solve the grinding noise and resulting paper jam problem.
HP Laserjet 4300 ACCORDION LIKE PAPER JAM
Q: When we are printing with our Hp laserjet 4300 the paper will get stuck under the toner cartridge and will be folded up not unlike an accordion. When I pull the paper out from underneath the toner cartridge the toner is loose and can simply be wiped off of the page. I really didn’t notice anything unusual happen before the printer started to register this paper jam. Are there any suggestions as to what is causing my hp laserjet 4300 to paper jam?
A: To start if you are pulling paper from the laserjet printer and the toner is not adhered to the page then that means the paper is not going through the fuser assembly. There are a couple of reasons that paper would not go through the fuser. One is that there is something obstructing the paper path, and the other is that the fuser assembly is not turning and therefore the paper is not allowed to advance through the fuser and out the printer. I would check to make sure the hp laserjet 4300 output assembly gears are turning. It is my hunch that either the hp laser 4300 is defective and or the swing plate assembly which drives the 4300 fuser. Replacing those should help fix your problem

A: It is not uncommon for hp laserjet 4300 printers to loose their network connectivity especially since they were outfitted with the 615 network cards. Try printing the network configuration settings. They most likely will not be available. This being the case we will probably be looking at a faulty network card or if not a faulty formatter.
